What Are European Door Patch Fittings and Locks?

European door patch fittings are relatively small pressure fit patch hardware used to pivot all-glass doors and hold adjacent fixed glass panels in place. A European lock patch fitting has a compact design that complements European door patch fittings and accommodates standard domestic and IC core cylinder locks.

With this type of "Euro" hardware system the glass is the main structural element and the hardware simply serves to pivot the doors. European door patch fittings and locks are ideal for interior applications where wind or weather are not a factor or for smaller exterior applications.

 

At PRL we offer an assortment of Euro patch fitting hardware fabricated from top-quality materials. Whether your project calls for a top or bottom door patch fitting or a lock patch fitting, our European series can meet your needs for glass thicknesses ranging from 3/8" to ¾".

PRL’S EURO DOOR PATCH FITTINGS:

PRL offers a premium selection of four top and bottom Euro door patch fittings for glass thicknesses ranging from 3/8" to ¾". Offering top and bottom Euro door patch fittings for 3/8" and ½" glass as well as top and bottom door patch fittings specifically designed for larger all-glass door thicknesses of 5/8" and ¾", PRL can meet your all-glass door Euro hardware needs.

 

All fabricated from aluminum with stainless steel fasteners, our Euro door patch fittings support all-glass doors with confidence and strength. To accent your all-glass doors with finesse, PRL offers an assortment of radiant finishes such as clear and bronze anodize, brushed and polished stainless steel as well as satin and polished brass.

　

EURO TOP & BOTTOM DOOR PATCH FITTINGS FOR 3/8" & ½" GLASS:

To accommodate 3/8" and 1/2" glass thicknesses for the top and bottom of all-glass doors, PRL offers the PL-424 and PL-414 Euro door patch fittings. Fabricated from aluminum with stainless steel fasteners and available in a variety of beautiful cover finishes, PRL offers premium Euro top and bottom door patch fitting hardware that is sure to last.

PRL’s PL-424 door top Euro patch fitting hardware accommodates appropriate insert blocks to adapt to a top pivot or overhead closer mechanism.

To accommodate larger all-glass door thicknesses of 5/8" and ¾" glass, PRL offers our PL-420 and PL-410 Euro glass patch fittings. To secure thicker glass, this fitting series is specifically designed with appropriate fasteners and gaskets.

 

Fabricated from aluminum with stainless steel fasteners and available in a variety of beautiful cover plate finishes, PRL offers top quality Euro glass top and bottom door patch fitting hardware that is durable and long lasting.

PRL’S EURO LOCK PATCH FITTINGS:

Designed with the same sleek, compact design as our four Euro door patch fittings, PRL offers two companion Euro lock patch fittings; the PL-165 and PL-163 round bolt locks.

Accommodating glass thicknesses ranging from 3/8" to ¾", PRL’s Euro lock patch fittings accommodate domestic cylinders capable of using IC core cylinders.

Fabricated from aluminum with stainless steel fasteners, and available in the same spectacular finishes as our door patch fittings, PRL’s Euro lock patch fittings provide durability and strength while accenting your all-glass doors in style.

 

Euro Lock Patch Fitting (PL-165):

To complement our Euro door patch fittings, PRL offers the PL-165 Euro patch fitting lock. Our versatile Euro-style lock patch fitting with a round deadbolt is designed to be used at the bottom of the door and locked into the floor.

Measuring 6 ½" wide x 2" tall this lock offers a very compact design while still accommodating a domestic cylinder and also capable of using IC core cylinders. PRL’s Euro lock patch fittings are available in the same profile size and finishes as our Euro door patch fittings to maintain a consistent appearance.

Euro Lock Patch Fitting (PL-163): 

PRL also offers our PL-163 Euro lock patch fitting. This is a minimal size lock with a round bolt and accommodates a standard domestic cylinder. Like our PL-165 Euro lock patch fitting, this deadbolt can also accommodate an IC core cylinder.

While small, and only 4 5/16" wide x 3 ¼" tall, the PL-163 is a strong deadbolt lock that can be used at the bottom of the door or mounted to the vertical edge of the door as a mini center lock housing.

Designed as a companion to our Euro door patch fitting hardware, PRL’s Euro lock patch fitting can be used in conjunction with one of our many offset pull handles, including our offset ladder pulls.
